Strategic Acquisition Expands Company Reach Into Southeast
Fred Singer, President and CEO of Singer Equipment, is pleased to announce the acquisition of the business of Hotel & Restaurant Supply, the largest foodservice equipment dealer in the Southeast. Headquartered in Meridian, Mississippi, with six additional locations throughout Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, and Louisiana, Hotel & Restaurant Supply is well positioned to support the dynamic growth of the Southeast US Foodservice Market. The new division will operate under the name Singer H&R.

Ollie Wilkes Retiring from Hotel & Restaurant Supply
After a 50-year career at Hotel & Restaurant Supply, Vice President of National Accounts, Ollie Wilkes, will be retiring on March 4, 2022.
Ollie began his career at Hotel & Restaurant Supply in 1964 as the 7th employee of the company. After leaving the company for a different industry in 1972, Ollie returned to H&R in 1981 and built a tremendously successful department servicing national accounts and other large customers and has been a wealth of knowledge for both our customers and our employees. H&R President Mason Greene said, “Ollie’s successes have carried over into other parts of our organization, assisting in both our growth as a company, as well as our reputation in the industry and with other customers.” Greene continued, “Ollie has always been extremely focused on providing clients a great experience from the development of their concept all the way to how we handle any issues customers have after a project is completed. His remarkable career will leave a lasting legacy on his customers, our organization, and the industry as a whole.”
As a testament to his impressive accomplishments and service to his customers, Ollie was awarded the inaugural Lifetime Achievement Award from Foodservice Equipment & Supplies in 2013.

H&R Closed on 9/18 for Company-Wide Software Upgrade
We desire to be your supplier of choice for Foodservice Equipment & Supplies and to make it as easy as possible to do business with us! We are implementing a new ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software in an effort to improve on this goal now and in the future. To allow for this upgrade, we will be closed on Friday, September 18. We will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, September 21.
During the past 15 months, our team of dedicated professionals has completed rigorous planning and testing of the new software. We hope that these efforts will allow for a smooth transition, but we also acknowledge that this could cause you, our valued customer, some frustration during this phase. We thank you in advance for your patience and we will be working harder than ever to make sure you are satisfied!
We will also be launching a new eCommerce site soon after this software transition! More information to come!

Hotel & Restaurant Supply's COVID-19 Update
To our valued customers,
At Hotel & Restaurant Supply, we take your well-being and safety seriously, and in light of the recent developments with the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic, and recommendations outlined by President Trump and the White House Coronavirus Task Force on Monday, 3/16/2020, we have decided to implement the following:
All of our locations will remain open during regular business hours.
We will continue offering delivery service to our customers, but we will now offer curbside pickup of orders as well. To schedule delivery or curbside pickup, please contact your sales representative and we will coordinate this with you.
We will continue our cleaning and disinfecting protocols to provide a clean and healthy facility for our staff and customers.
As long as supplies are available, our facilities will be equipped with liquid/foam hand sanitizer dispensers. Please make use of these if/when you are in our building.
We have implemented guidelines for our employees to follow to help reduce the spread of the virus, and we ask that you also follow these guidelines when choosing to visit our facilities:
No shaking hands.
Practice social distancing; please do not gather in groups of more than 10 individuals.
If possible, conduct as much business as possible over the phone, email, videoconferencing, etc.
If you have been around someone with coronavirus or flu-like symptoms (coughing, fever, shortness of breath), or if you or a family member has traveled outside of the United States, on a cruise ship, in an airport and/or around infected areas, please do not visit our facility at this time. We will gladly assist you over the phone and offer delivery or curbside pickup of your order.
As we all know, this situation is very fluid and can change quickly. We will continue to monitor updates from the CDC, as well as local, state, and federal agencies, and will continue to follow their lead and the guidelines issued. While the full impact of an outbreak cannot be predicted, Hotel & Restaurant Supply hopes by planning for such conditions we can help lessen the impact. The health and safety of our staff and customers remains a top priority. We will keep you updated if any additional precautions become necessary.
